No. Our dance teacher had to talk the class into accepting me into advanced dance without having taken beginning dance. She argued that I had volunteered doing lights and sound for them, so they should welcome me even if I wasn’t as skilled a dancer. I was more of a drama geek and wrote for the school paper.
